The White Rodgers 1F97-1277 Touchscreen Room Thermostat is a universal single stage thermostat. It is universal in two different ways. It is universal dual powered which means it can be run by batteries or hardwired with battery backup. It also is universal because you have the choice of 7 day programming, 5/1/1 day programming or non-programmable. These options are installer selectable.

The display on the White Rodgers 1F97-1277 Touchscreen Room Thermostat is larger and lighted with bigger and easy-to-see characters. These features make navigation a breeze. It also includes intuitive, color-coded up/down temperature keys, extra large touch keys and soft -touch keypads for your ease of use. Also, for your convenience the thermostat includes a programmable fan and comfort circulating fan and audio prompt.

The White Rodgers 1F97-1277 Touchscreen Room Thermostat meets energy star specifications. It also includes patented cool saving which means the thermostat saves energy during peak A/C demand periods. Also featured are remote sensing indoor or outdoor and a service indicator that tells you if you need to call an HVAC service contractor for repairs.
