Unlike traditional water heaters, the Stiebel Eltron DHC 5-2 Tankless Electric Water Heater does not store hot water. It is designed for installation at the point of use and heats water instantaneously as it flows through the unit. This means that stand by losses are completely eliminated and this tankless electric water heater is more energy efficient than storage type water heaters.

The Stiebel Eltron DHC 5-2 tankless electric water heater's heating elements are controlled by a flow switch and an exclusive scald-guard thermostat so that water is kept within the safe limits at all times. This heater is also equipped with a safety high limit with manual reset.

The Stiebel Eltron DHC 5-2 tankless electric water heater has a rugged all copper design that ensures many years of reliable service.Compared to storage type heaters, these consume up to 50 percent less power and have lower installation costs. For your safety, it is ETL listed and it runs on 208/240 volts.
