Comments: I wanted to use this heater in a 6x6 room in my garage to keep my washer from freezing. It did not do the job. My washer and dryer were so cold to the touch, I couldn't stay warm enough to stay in the room to do my laundry. I like the fact that it tells the degrees in numbers and not just different buttons for hi or medium or low heat. I can actually set a particular number on the Dr. Heater of how many degrees in numbers I want. I also like that you can set it for a low or high maxiumum or minimum and when it reaches that degree it will stay there. There are other settings that I have not used yet but I will. I will always buy a Dr. Heater instead of an Eden Pure. It is so much warmer and much more efficient. I do wish it had a pull cord so I could roll it on wheels when I want to take it another room since it is difficult for me to bend over and I don't like pulling it by its electrical cord to roll it to another room. I love my Dr. Heater.

Comments: A few weeks ago, I got the bad news that neither one of my very old gas furnaces would be able to be fixed (too old, couldn't even get new parts for them!) The cost of replacing them (I was a bit shocked) was way beyond what I could afford. A heating contractor actually suggested infrared space heaters for me. He was very impressed with them and I checked them out on the net and ordered one that day. It came in less than a week and I placed it downstairs in the center of the main living areas. It was pretty cold in the house that day (about 38' yikes!), and it did take time to warm it up to an acceptable temperature but once there it kept it there. I am actually so happy with it. I don't think just the one heater could keep it at 70' in here, (which is too warm for me anyway)it's a big old (very old) drafty house with no insulation in the large rooms it is heating, not to mention its Nebraska! It gets very cold and we have many days with strong winds, so in these conditions it's really doing an amazing job. Another thing is its stability, I have pets, and it's very stable, can't imagine it getting knocked over and that's a plus around here. Next winter I will definitely be ordering another one! :)

Comments: We have a living room that is 16 X24 with open beam ceilings. We usually heat it with a fire place, but since getting our 968 heater we have pretty much cut out the fire place.
