Review Title: Dr. Heater DR-998
Comments: I read the comments about how much better Dr. Heater heaters were than Edenpur which I had just bought. So I returned the Edenpur and purchased the Dr Heater DR=998 Heater. It sounded great with a humidifier, air purifier, ocillating fan, temperature gage and two types of heating. The humidifier, air purifier, and fan worked great. The only problem was even 24hours of running on high it couldn't managed to heat my living/dining rooms{around 500sqft} to more than 62=63 degrees,even though the unit was suppose to heat 1000sqft. The Endpur heater {also a 1000sqft unit) heated the same rooms to 64 degrees in a matter of a few hours on the lowest setting. Needless to say I have returned the Dr, Heater unit and gone back to the Edenpur which uses far less energy and heats far superior to the Dr. Heater.

Review Title: AWESOME heater
Comments: I use this product as my primary heat source. Yes, I know it says that it cannot be used this way but my other heat is baseboard and it is just too expensive. So far I have not turned this unit off for about a week and it keeps my house at about 62~69 degrees while it has ranged from 25~60 outside. I have owned the heater for about 2 months and no problem what so ever. The oscillation is a pretty cool design and not loud like many other cheap heaters. The humidifier is wicked cool also!!! Looks like a little smoke stack but the water vapor is actually cool when you place your hand over it. Overall the Dr. Heater 998 is quiet, efficient, well designed with lots of cool features that even the more expensive units do not have. I had my mother order one because I was so impressed.
